Singapore Regulator Issues 2014 Limited Edition Coins

The Monetary Authority of Singapore, Singapore's financial regulatory body, has launched a new series of limited edition coins for issue on 1 January 2014. The new coins are the 2014 Year of the Horse Almanac Coin, 2014 Uncirculated Coin Set and Singapore First Almanac Coin Series Puzzle Coin Set. They are a part of the third Chinese Almanac coin series and will come in nine versions, including a one kilogram coin made of 999 fine silver. Selected premium sets will include an eight-sided floral-shaped ingot featuring a pair of horses in a field of peonies. The details are as follows: S$200 Gold Proof Coin , S$100 Gold Proof Coin , S$5 Gold Proof Coin , S$1 Gold Brilliant Uncirculated Coin , S$80 Silver Proof-like Coin , S$25 Silver Proof Coin , S$10 Silver Piedford Proof Colour Coin , S$2 Silver Proof Coin and S$2 Cupro-Nickle Proof-like Coin . The coins will be sold by The Singapore Mint.
